Is the Dental Implant Procedure Painful?

The dental implant procedure is not painful. It is a fairly quick and painless procedure, and many patients state to not have discomfort at all. Local anesthesia would be provided in the given area to “numb” the gums, the same way you would get numb for a routine dental procedure such as a filling. There is also the option of IV sedation for those who wish to be sleeping throughout the procedure.
