Temporomandibular Joint Disorder / Myofacial Pain Disorder is a pathological process that can be incited by subconscious habits. Some habits that are notable in leading to Temporomandibular Joint Disorder / Myofacial Pain Disorder is grinding and clenching. Grinding and Clenching increases the pressure and tension placed on the joint and can lead to arthritis in the future. In addition to increasing joint pressure and tension, constant muscle function and use will lead to inflammation of the muscle and Temporomandibular Joint.
